SEMARANG President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto appealed to the police to manage the budget efficiently and efficiently, including by reducing ceremonial events, such as the commemoration of Anniversary (HUT).

The directive was conveyed by Prabowo while attending the Kasatwil Polri meeting at the Police Academy, Semarang, Central Java, on Wednesday 11 December.

"Once again, save, reduce waste. Reduce ceremonies, don't celebrate too much," said Prabowo.

He suggested that the anniversary celebration be carried out simply, such as holding a crash event at headquarters, in order to minimize waste.

"Reduce birthday celebrations. It's simple, at headquarters," he added.

In addition, Prabowo also reminded the police to always side with the people and defend the interests of the community.

"I appeal, not on behalf of Prabowo, but on behalf of the Indonesian people, parents, and children. The police side with the people and always defend their interests," Prabowo said.

He emphasized the importance of professionalism and militancy in the task of the police to save the nation's future.

"With strong, militant and professional police, we save the nation's future. The nation and the people really need skilled police," he said.
