Kediri City UMK 2025 Increases 6.5% To IDR 2.57 Million
KEDIRI The Kediri City Government (Pemkot) officially raised the City Minimum Wage (UMK) in 2025 by 6.5% to Rp2.572 million. This increase is the result of the agreement of the Kediri City Wage Council which involves employers' associations, labor unions, and the government.
This letter of recommendation for the increase in the UMK is scheduled to be submitted to the Governor of East Java by the Kediri City Government on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, to get an official determination.
"The 2025 UMK increased by Rp. 156,000 from the previous year, to Rp. 2.572 million," said Head of the Kediri City Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises, and Manpower (Dinkop UMTK), Bambang Priyambodo.
Bambang explained that the determination of the increase in the UMK was carried out through a plenary meeting held by the UMTK Dinkop on Tuesday (10/12/2024). The meeting was attended by representatives of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), trade unions, employers, and various related stakeholders.

The increase in the UMK follows the provisions of the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 16 of 2024 concerning the Determination of Minimum Wage in 2025.
Bambang also mentioned that companies that object to this increase can submit an objection to the UMTK Dinkop. "However, like in previous years, God willing, no company will object," he concluded.
