The Latest MG ZS Hybrid Almost Got Five ANCAP Collision Stars, This Is The Cause
JAKARTA - Morris Garage (MG) again recorded good results in the hit test on one of its models, ZS. The SUV obtained four stars in safety testing carried out by the Australation New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
These results apply to all types of hybrid ZS that have been assembled in September 2024. The car almost got five stars, but got less than optimal results in the Adult Occupant Protection.
"The assessment of four MG ZS stars underscores the need for strong and balanced safety performance in all areas of accident protection and prevention," said ANCAP CEO Carla Hoorweg, quoted from Drive, Wednesday, December 11.
MG ZS terbaru ini memperoleh hasil 75 persen dalam Adult Occupant Protection. Untuk mencapai lima bintang, setidaknya harus meraih nilai 80 persen.
ANCAP considers that the lack of airbags in the middle of this car barrier has received five stars. The addition of this device is useful to help the two front passengers not to collide with each other in case of side clashes.

The ZS hybrid also received unsatisfactory results in the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) Backover test. This is because the system does not react to vulnerable road users as the vehicle runs backwards.
In the Safety Assist category, the car got a score of 79 percent and 73 percent in the Vulnerable Road User Protection. In addition, the car also received an 84 percent rating in Child Occupant Protection.
In other tests such as Full Width Frontal got a high score and almost got a perfect score in the Oblique Pole and Whiplash Protection test and received the perfect result in Side Impact.
MG ZS hybrid has a number of safety devices such as six airbags, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, radar cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, real-cross traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, low-speed rear collision warning, door exit warning, passenger seatbelt warning, and many more.
