Kaltara Prosecutor's Office Saves State Loss Of IDR 5.3 Billion

TANJUNG SELOR- The High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) since August 30, 2024, has only investigated a corruption case by the Special Crimes Division (Pidsus).

The head of the North Kalimantan Attorney General's Office, Amiek Mulandari, said that the investigation was still in the process of being investigated by asking for a number of information to collect and conclude whether there were criminal incidents.

"We want to ensure whether there is a criminal incident related to the case reported by the community," he said, Monday, December 9.

He revealed that the Kaltara Prosecutor's Office together with the District Attorney's Office throughout North Kalimantan had saved state losses of Rp5,314,988,500. Then Restorative Justice as many as 5 cases that have been approved by the Attorney General's Office.

"The Kaltara Prosecutor's Office also received 5 applications for the National Stategis Project (PSN) with a value of Rp. 69,617,503,289.69 and 15 Regional Strategic Projects (PSD) with a value of Rp. 367,876,396,167," said Kajati.

Amiek explained, in the framework of World Anti-Corruption Day 2024, the Attorney General's Office has conducted an investigation and saved state money in eradicating corruption (Tipikor).

Among them, the Bulungan District Attorney's Office (Kejari) has 1 case with a total rescue of state money that has been deposited amounting to Rp4,026,488,500,-. The Nunukan Kejari 2 cases with a total of Rp1,076,500,000, the Tarakan Kejari 1 case and the Malinau Kejari 2 cases.

"Since October 16, 2024, the Pidsus Division of the North Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office is also conducting an investigation into allegations of corruption over the use of one of the islands as a small island and the issuance of an extension of the Mining Business License in the Kaltara Prosecutor's Office," he said.

He hopes that the investigative team can immediately conclude the results of the investigation activities so that they can be upgraded to the investigation stage.

"For details of case handling at the investigation stage, we cannot open it, before it is confirmed that investigators have obtained criminal events to be upgraded to the investigation stage," he said.
