Through Brick Interlock Precise Innovation, GIS Offers Solutions To Three Project Challenges Of 3 Million Houses
JAKARTA - The 3 million house project launched by the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) is said to face a number of challenges such as a short completion target, namely a year, budget constraints, and low purchasing power of the community. PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) believes that innovation in green cement derivative products, namely the precise interlock brick, is a precise solution to answer these challenges.
SOE Minister Erick Thohir said the Ministry of SOEs together with the Ministry of PKP were here to answer the community's need for quality and affordable housing, through a project of 3 million houses. Several state-owned companies, including GIS, which is a provider of infrastructure and housing construction solutions, are collaborated to support the national program and ensure that the challenges that accompany it can be resolved effectively.
"Through the collaboration of state-owned companies, the Ministry of SOEs is committed to presenting affordable and sustainable housing solutions," said Erick Thohir, recently.
The three BUMNs collaborating are GIS as providers of building materials, BTN as providers of financing facilities, and Perumnas which will carry out integrated residential development or transit-oriented development (TOD).
President Director of SIG, Donny Arsal stated that SIG provides innovative building materials with low emission, as well as housing ownership financing facilities. The collaboration between SOEs allows SIG to meet the community's needs for quality and affordable housing, and meets aspects of security and comfort.
"As a market leader in the domestic building materials industry, GIS has the capability to encourage the construction of environmentally friendly houses. The presence of GIS green cement and its derivative products, namely the precise interlock brick, provides added value that can be a solution to the challenge of owning the house at this time," said Donny Arsal, in his statement, Monday 9 December.
As a company providing leading building material solutions in Indonesia, GIS encourages the use of low-emission green cement and its environmentally friendly derivative products. The prediction of an interlock brick is the result of applied research with a work mechanism that locks each other between beams such as the lego system. The use of an interlock brick precise provides many advantages in housing development over conventional materials, because it is more efficient in the use of materials and easier in application.

The duration of the construction of houses using an interlock brick precise is also faster than ordinary bricks because it does not require a brick immersion process, the provision of casting or sequencing printed boxes, application of adhesive or specion in each brick layer, as well as addition of plaster and acian. The practice of interlockbrick has also been declared earthquake friendly for areas with a high level of seismicity (KDS D) based on the 2D wall cyclic Test at the Sarana Center and Building of the Director General of Settlement and Housing Engineering Development.
Donny Arsal added, the trigger interlock brick is a solution for property developers in fast and affordable housing development, as well as environmentally friendly, to increase advantages and competitiveness.
"SIG is ready to collaborate with banks and other stakeholders in the development of environmentally friendly housing as part of efforts to accelerate the transition to a green economy in Indonesia," said Donny Arsal.
