Everton Donates 40 Thousand Foods For Residents Affected By Hurricane Darragh

JAKARTA - Everton donated as many as 40 thousand boxes of food to residents of the city of Merseyside who were affected by the Darragh storm.

40 thousand boxes of food that were actually prepared for supporters who watched "Merseyside Derby" were finally decided by Everton to be donated to local residents after the match against Liverpool was confirmed to be postponed due to bad weather.

"The bad weather caused by Hurricane Darragh caused Everton's home game against Liverpool to be canceled... However, food, including sausage pies and rolls that will serve 40,000 sold out spectators, has now been donated to the Food Bank and good intentions throughout the city," wrote Everton's official website, quoted via Antara, Sunday, December 8.

Previously, "Derby Merseyside" which brought together Everton against Liverpool in the Premier League match at Goodison Park, Merseyside, Saturday night, was officially postponed due to bad weather that hit Merseyside city due to the Darragh storm.

The postponement of the match made Everton along with their fan community move quickly, especially to provide assistance to affected city residents.

In the coming week, The Toffees fans will also open donations for the goods needed by residents and fans affected by the storm.

"Other items will be provided to Everton's fan community and distributed through their programs and initiatives over the coming week," wrote Everton's website.

Until this news was published, the Premier League had not announced further information about when the match that brought together the club, which has great rivalry in the city of Merseyside, would resume.
