Minister Of Health Affirms There Will Be No Increase In BPJS Contributions In 2025
Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin said there had been no increase in the contribution to the participation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) organized by the Health Social Security Administration (BPJS) in 2025.
"In 2025, we have not budgeted an increase in BPJS contributions, I think if we look at the financial condition, 2025 should still be (still)," said Minister of Health Budi Gunadi as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, December 8.
It is known, BPJS Kesehatan contributions are rumored to have increased, along with the implementation of the Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS). In addition, there are issues that mention the budget deficit and default on BPJS Kesehatan which further strengthens the issue of this increase in contributions.
However, previously the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan Ali Ghufron Mukti ensured that BPJS Kesehatan's net assets were still healthy, despite the risk of a deficit, and ensured that his party was smooth in paying for hospitals in 2025.
Ghufron said that the increasing public trust and use or utilization of BPJS services are the cause of the deficit risk, which is now around 1.7 million people per day using the service.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
As for the increase in contributions, as in Presidential Regulation (PP) Number 59 of 2024 concerning the Third Amendment to Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2018 concerning Health Insurance, it is stated that per two years the increase in contributions is allowed, but it needs to be evaluated first. Maximum June 30 or July 1, 2025, dues or tariffs will be set.
"It can go up, it can still be done, this is a stringiose. But if BPJS is the executing body, it's not the regulations," said Ali Ghufron Mukti.
