Man In Deli Serdang Sumut Killed By Coral Stone At Chinese Cemetery, Perpetrator Shot
MEDAN - A man named Eko Kurniawan (27) was found dead in a Chinese cemetery in Deli Tua Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The victim died with head injuries.
Delitua Police Chief AKP Zulkifli said the victim's body was found by residents on Friday, April 9, morning. The victim was a resident of Sesa Kedai Durian, Delitua Subdistrict.
While the perpetrator of the murder named Hidayat (33). The perpetrator was arrested in Jalan Eka Surya, Gang Melati, Deli Tua District, on Tuesday, April 13, early in the morning. From the interrogation, the suspect confessed to his actions.
" (The suspect) confessed to his actions and has committed murder by hitting the victim's head with coral stones 3 times," Zulkifli said on Tuesday, April 13.
The suspect confessed to killing his victim because he wanted to seize the victim's property. From the arrest, police managed to secure a number of evidence, namely one mobile phone, a tablet and a motorcycle as well as coral stones used to kill the victim.
During the gathering of evidence, Zulkifli said, the suspect resisted the officer by pushing the policeman to the ground. The police shot the assailant.
