Central Sulawesi Police Deploy 390 Personnel To Secure The Plenary Meeting Of Regional Head Elections
PALU - Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) deployed 390 joint personnel to secure an open plenary meeting to recapitulate the results of the 2024 regional head election calculation (Pilkada) in the area, Saturday.
"The Central Sulawesi Police have deployed 390 joint personnel of the TNI, Polri and the Transportation Service to secure the running of an open plenary meeting," said Head of Operations (Kaops) of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Pol. Yohanes Afri Budi Slamet Riyadi in Palu, Saturday.
He said his party ensured that it would continue to oversee and secure the implementation of the open plenary meeting of the recapitulation of the results of the vote count and the determination of the election results for the Governor and Deputy Governor of Central Sulawesi.
According to him, preventive and preemptive steps have been taken by the police to ensure that the plenary meeting which took place at the Central Sulawesi General Election Commission (KPU) Office is safe and conducive.

He said sterilization had also been carried out, both indoors and outdoors where the open plenary meeting took place to ensure the safety of the plenary meeting was open.
He said that on the first day, the Central Sulawesi KPU scheduled an open plenary meeting to read the vote count results recapitulation data for nine districts and one city, followed by Sunday (8/12) for three districts.
"Therefore, we urge the public to participate in keeping the security and public order (kamtibmas) situation safe and conducive," he said.
He asked the public to entrust the recapitulation process carried out by the KPU and together in waiting for the results of the calculation by the Central Sulawesi Provincial KPU.
He also asked the supporters not to conduct victory parades, excessive euphoria and counter-productive actions so that the situation could run conducively.
