Microsoft Stops Surface Studio 2 Plus Production Without A Successor

JAKARTA Microsoft finally ended the production of one of its computers, namely Surface Studio 2 Plus, after being introduced about two years ago.

The technology company confirmed that it would no longer produce Surface Studio 2 Plus. Microsoft will only sell the stock left on the market. Currently, PC all-in-one is already difficult to find in some areas.

"Customers can continue to buy Surface Studio 2 Plus through retailers and stock-owned partners," a Microsoft spokesperson said, citing from Windows Central, Friday, December 6.

"For areas that run out of stock, Surface Studio 2 Plus will no longer be available for new purchases."

The discontinued production of Surface Studio 2 Plus is bad news for the Surface Studio line. To date, no new generation has been introduced, thus reinforcing Microsoft's public allegations to officially stop the Surface Studio model.

This allegation is getting stronger because of Microsoft's actions since last year. The company has stopped producing devices such as Surface Duo 3 and Surface Earbuds 2 and has not prepared a replacement.

This proves Microsoft is cutting the Surface line.

However, Microsoft looks set to keep regular Surface devices. Earlier this year, Microsoft launched the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 which were designed specifically for business and of course based on the Copilot Plus.

The company is expected to release its successor, namely the Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7, with the Lunar Lake variant next year. When viewed from the year-on-year timeline, the two Surface models will be released early in the year.
