Not Many People Know, Yati Pesek Who Was Insulted By Gus Miftah Turns Out To Have The Title Kanjeng Mas Ayu Tumenggung

JAKARTA - The name of comedian Yati Pesek has recently been widely discussed in relation to the viral video of Gus Miftah. The preacher who recently resigned from his position as the President's Special Envoy was caught insulting senior artist Yati Pesek. This moment was recorded when the two were performing a wayang kulit performance with puppeteer Ki Warseno several years ago.

After her name went viral, Yati Pesek's figure became increasingly sought after. Apart from being known as a senior comedian, it turns out that Yati Pesek is not just anyone.

Senior journalist Ainur Rohman revealed that Yati Pesek was once given a noble title through Nawala Kekancingan from the Surakarta or Solo Palace. The artist received this award in 2009.

"July 2009, Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace awarded Nawala Kekancingan to Suyati Sumaryo for her commitment, contribution, and extraordinary services in performing arts and ketoprak spanning 45 years," wrote Ainur via the X account @ainurrohman, quoted Friday (6/12/2024).

Through this award, Yati Pesek received the title Kanjeng Mas Ayu Tumenggung Walitodiningrum. This title was given because of her figure who is considered an influential artist figure in the Java region.

"Suyati received a new name Kanjeng Mas Ayu Tumenggung Walitodiningrum. An important and honorable award for an artist from Java like Yati," added Ainur Rohman in his tweet.

As is known, in the circulating video, Yati Pesek became one of the sinden singers and sang the song Bajing Loncat. Unexpectedly, this song became the subject of ridicule by Gus Miftah.

"Earlier the song was Bajing Loncat. I invited the mentioned to the stage," Gus Miftah said to Yati Pesek as quoted by VOI from TikTok @zyenizr13, Friday, December 6.

Although uncomfortable with Gus Miftah's words, Yati Pesek tried to reply to the preacher's conversation.

"Although you are young, you are my teacher," said Yati Pesek.

It didn't stop there, Gus Miftah again uttered insulting words by calling Yati Pesek a prostitute.

"I am grateful that Aunt Yati is ugly, if otherwise she would be a prostitute, right?," he asked while laughing.

Hearing this, Yati Pesek had time to express her disappointment towards Gus Miftah. "Now why are you talking like that. Oh, thank goodness Gus, now here you are not a ustad, not a kiai," reprimanded Yati Pesek.
