California Rocked By A Magnitude 7 Earthquake, Governor Gavin Newsom Expresses Emergency
JAKARTA - California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in his region following an earthquake measuring 7 magnitudes on Thursday.
"I just agreed to an emergency status to allow more resources to be channeled to the venue needed for an earthquake emergency response measuring 7 magnitudes this morning. We are working quickly to keep Californians safe and informed," Newsom said on X. quoted from Sputnik-OANA via Antara, Friday, December 6th.
There were no reports of casualties even though local authorities issued a tsunami warning due to the earthquake.
