FLOII Expo 2024, International Scale Ornamental Plant Exhibition Brings The Spirit Of Industrial Optimism

JAKARTA - The Floriculture Indonesia International (FLOII) Expo 2024 Exhibition officially opened today at Hall 3, ICE BSD City, Tangerang. As the largest international-scale ornamental plant exhibition in Indonesia, the FLOII Expo 2024 will take place from 5 to 8 December 2024.

Carrying the theme "Evolutionary & Revolutionary Elegance: The Beauty of Genetic Diversity in Floriculture", FLOII Expo 2024 was opened directly by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Sudaryono. Also present were the Director of Fruit and Florikultura of the Ministry of Agriculture Liferdi Lukman, then the Indonesian Quarantine Agency Andi PM Yusmanto, then Commissioner Dyandra Event Solutions Ery Erlangga, President Director of Dyandra Event Solutions Michael Bayu A. Sumarijanto, Steering Committee FLOII Expo consisting of Rustika Herlambang, Handry Chuhairy and Ivan H. Natapraja, Director of Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) namely Emmanuel Ernawan, Representative of the Indonesia Aroid Society (IAS) Andri Satriawan, and General Chairperson of the Indonesian Florikultura Lover (PFI) Rosy Nur Apriyanti.

In his remarks, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Sudaryono, welcomed and enthusiastically welcomed the implementation of the 2024 FLOII Expo this time. FLOII Expo is an important step to connect local business actors with the international market. Seeing this, the implementation of the 2024 FLOII Expo could be the right momentum to advance the Indonesian ornamental plant industry to the international market. The development of ornamental plants will also have an impact on improving the country's economy.

"What we are witnessing at the FLOII Expo is proof that ornamental plants that may not have thought of having economic value are now important commodities. Subtropical countries are used to flowers, but Indonesia as a tropical country has unmatched uniqueness," he said at the Opening Ceremony FLOII Expo 2024.

President Director of Dyandra Event Solutions, Michael Bayu A. Sumarijanto, said that abundant potential must be balanced by hard efforts from various parties to make the Indonesian ornamental plant industry known to the world. On that basis, Dyandra Event Solutions is present through the FLOII Expo with a movement to enrich insight and provide a stage for ornamental plants.

This year, FLOI Expo was attended by more than 150 exhibitors including from countries such as Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Ecuador, the United States, and Vietnam. The presence of international participants opens up opportunities for global collaboration.

The potential of Indonesian ornamental plants in the world itself is very large. FLOII 2024 is here to answer this opportunity to create momentum in an effort to strengthen Indonesia's position as one of the main players in the ornamental plant industry," explained Michael Bayu.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of PFI, Rosy Nur Apriyanti said, FLOII Expo is a place for the dream of communities and ornamental plant associations in Indonesia. Apart from being a means of buying and selling, FLOII Expo 2024 is also an event to introduce the public about the uniqueness of Indonesian ornamental plants directly.

New ornamental plants that become Indonesia's potential need to be introduced directly to the public. Seeing it directly has a different impression than just through social media. Therefore, this exhibition is very important," he explained.

Over the next four days, FLOII Expo 2024 will be an inspirational event for ornamental plant actors and lovers through various talk shows and workshops with experts in their fields. In addition, a number of innovations and new programs will enrich the experience of ornamental plant lovers, including the launch of ornamental plants and the latest products from exhibitionists. At its peak, on December 7 '8, the Hias Plant Contest will be held by presenting new categories and classes such as Aglaonema, Aroid, Katus, Platycerium, Mutation, and Sansevieria. The addition of this category is expected to be able to attract special attention from ornamental plant lovers who are enthusiastic about witnessing the best potential from the participant collection.
