LPSK Receives Application For Protection Of Victims Of Sexual Violence Agus Bentung

JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) received a report requesting protection from the Supreme Court, a victim of a sexual violence (TPKS) committed by a suspect with a disabled disability I Wayan Agus Suartama or known as Agus Bentung.

"In his petition, the Supreme Court asked the LPSK chairman for expert assistance on the grounds that he was a victim of alleged sexual violence committed by the reported party named I Wayan Agus Suartama alias IWAS," said Deputy Chairperson of LPSK, Sri Nurherwati, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 5.

Not only that, but the Supreme Court also applied for restitution or compensation to the perpetrators for the sexual violence case he committed.

Sri ensured that her party was processing the request so that protection services could be provided optimally.

Sri herself condemned all forms of sexual violence, especially when it happened to women and children.

According to him, victims of these crimes must be given proper protection in order to restore the victim's physical and mental condition.

LPSK also hopes that the legal process for cases of sexual violence committed by Agus can be investigated fairly by the police in accordance with the applicable crime.

Previously, Agus Bentung, a man with a disability without hands was named a suspect in the rape case against a student with the initials MA at a homestay in Mataram, NTB.

Determination of the status of a suspect is based on two pieces of evidence and expert statements.

The suspect's modus operandi of Agus Bentung as a person with a disabled disability in committing immoral acts against the victim is to rely on verbal communication that can affect the victim's attitude and psychology.
