Government Claims To Eat 10 Thousand Free Nutrition Per Portion Enough To Fulfill Nutrition
JAKARTA - Minister of Population and Family Development (Mendukbangga)/Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) Wihaji admitted that he is optimistic that the budget for the average Free Nutrition Food (MBG) of IDR 10,000 per portion is sufficient to meet the nutritional needs of the community.
"Optimistic must be optimistic," said Wihaji when met after the launch of the Foster Parent Movement Prevent Stunting in Karawang, West Java, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 5.
Later, when the average price per portion has been determined, his party will support and carry out the program in accordance with the policies that have been decided by the government.
"If that has been decided, we as ministers must participate, if that is the state's (decision). As for the state, whatever the decision of the central government, we will carry out," said Wihaji.
Separately, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana stated that the budget allocation for Free Nutrition Food worth IDR 10,000 per serving had gone through a trial process conducted in Sukabumi, West Java.
He ensured that the beaming of funds was sufficient to provide foods with balanced nutritional content which included carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and vitamins, and minerals, according to the daily needs of beneficiaries.
"The average trial index in Sukabumi is not far from what the President said, nutrition is balanced with calories as needed," he said.
According to him, the implementation of the Rp10 thousand budget per portion in the field will be flexible, depending on the needs and understanding of each region.
If there are areas that spend less budget, the remaining budget will be diverted to other areas that need additional funds, especially those facing higher raw material prices.
The budget is not used to buy finished food packages, but to buy raw materials that will be cooked at the location by involving the role of the community and local catering businesses.
