Fiery at the Lecture, Haikal Hasan Calling Bung Karno the Prisoner of Ulama: Deny If You Can!
JAKARTA - An old video of Ustaz Haikal Hasan's lecture is circulating. In the video, Haikal Hasan commented on the attitude of Sukarno's proclamation during the Ijtimak Ulama held on September 11, 1957, in Palembang.
An old video clip was re-tweeted by former Democratic Party politician Ferdinand Hutahaean on his Twitter account @FerdinandHaean3 on Monday, April 12. The footage was first posted by the @tjhinfar21 account.
"If such insolent talk continues to freely broadcast lies and ruin the history of the nation, then do not be surprised if the young people of this nation, the next generation, no longer know the history of the real nation. That is where the kila**** ignorant people thrive", said Ferdinand.
In the 2.20-second video, a speaker with a typical Betawi accent fairly mentions Bung Karno as a 'clerical prison man'.
Initially Haikal hasan told the history of Ijtimak Ulama held on September 11, 1957 in Palembang. Present in this important moment KH Isa Anshari, Natsir, Sutan Sjahrir, and other important figures.
"Top of all. Know what's going on in Jakarta? Bung Karno with his PNI and his PKI and Nasakomnya mock clerics who were meeting. They accused the cleric who was meeting was immoral", explained Babeh Haikal, a familiar greeting from Haikal Hasan.
Babeh Haikal understands that Bung Karno is an important figure in the struggle and movement towards an independent Indonesia. However, history remains history, no one should be covered up.
"Bung Karno is a proclaimer? Yes! Bung Karno is meritorious, I know! Bung Karno is great? Agree! But don't forget, Bung Karno jailed the scholars, with his Nasakom. Please argue if you can! Please argue if you can", said Babeh Haikal.
Not stopping there, after Ijtimak the scholars also continued to be vilified by the government at that time through the newspapers.
"What is the accused cleric? Unscrupulous! Accused of what? Rotten sense! Accused of what? 'Want to establish an Islamic state well! Want to establish an Islamic state well!' A little bit of an Islamic state, a little bit of an Islamic state. As if the cleric who mukhtar, considered willing to establish an Islamic state. That's the accusations", said Babeh Haikal.
A Twitter account by @tjhinfar21 said it was defamatory and insulting to pre-founding fathers.
"This is one of the provocateurs impersonating the defenders of the clergy. How's @PDI_Perjuangan? Haikal was left free to incite and slander our founding fathers. You sheep-haired of provocateur".
