The South Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Fugitive Arrest Team (Tabur) together with the District Attorney's team helped the AGO's AMC Tabur Team arrest fugitive HB (59) who was on the People's Wanted List (DPO) in Samrah Regency B7, Bekasi, West Java.

"The arrest of this suspect is the realization of the Attorney General's program in maximizing the search and arrest of suspects for law enforcement," said Head of the Information and Law Section of the South Sulawesi Attorney General's Office Soetarmi in Makassar as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 4.

HB was caught in a case of alleged corruption in the management of the Pinrang Regency Mall Building, South Sulawesi for the 2017-2024 fiscal year which cost the state finances more than Rp1.27 billion.

HB was named a suspect and included in the DPO of the Pinrang District Attorney based on the Determination Letter of DPO number: R-319/P.4/Dti.2/11/2024 as of November 20, 2024.

HB was declared a fugitive by the prosecutor's office for two months because he had often been absent from the summons. In fact, he has been properly summoned to fulfill the examination as a witness or suspect related to the management of the Pinrang Mall Building, but has not been present.

"So it is necessary to make firm efforts by forcibly picking up the HB suspect in West Java on Monday, December 3, 2024," he said.
