Novak Djokovic Pursues 100th Title

JAKARTA The former world number one, Novak Djokovic, needs one more title to collect a total of 100 trophies in his extraordinary career journey.

It is certain that the Serbian tennis player will play in the Brisbane International event which will take place from December 29, 2024 to January 5, 2025. This is his opportunity to achieve that record.

"I am delighted to start my work in Australia at Brisbane International and compete again at the Pat Raffer Arena," Djokovic said, citing BBC Sport.

If he manages to get a title in Brisbane, Djokovic will automatically record himself as the third tennis player in the Open era (from 1968 to now) who has won 100 titles in his career.

The 37-year-old will join the United States tennis player, Jimmyctions (109 titles), and legendary Swiss tennis player Roger Federer (103 titles).

"I look forward to feeling the incredible support from Australian fans and making this tournament an unforgettable tournament," said Djokovic.

Brisbane International will be a warm-up event for Djokovic before appearing at the Grand Slam opening Australian Open season which takes place in Melbourne.

Djokovic will hunt for his 25th Grand Slam title in his career there. He needs one more title to pass Australia's best-known tennis player, Margaret Court, who is currently on par with him because they both have 24 Grand Slam titles.

If you can win the 11th title at the Australian Open later, Djokovic will automatically record himself as a single tennis player, both male and female, with the most Grand Slam titles in history.
