PDIP Regarding The Status Of Jokowi Cadres And Families: It's No Longer Part Of The PDI-P

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto explained the membership status of the 7th President Joko Widodo and his family, namely Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution at PDIP.

This is in response to statements from many parties regarding whether Jokowi and his family are still cadres of the party bearing the bull logo or not.

"I reiterate that Mr. Jokowi and his family are no longer part of the PDI-P," said Hasto at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Wednesday, December 4.

Hasto emphasized that PDIP no longer considers Jokowi a cadre because according to him the ideals of the party that has been fighting for since President Soekarno's leadership built this republic are no longer in line with his political talks and practices.

This action was seen since Jokowi made efforts so that Gibran could become a candidate for Vice President through the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which changed the age limit for participants in the 2024 presidential election, to political interventions carried out by Jokowi while still serving as President.

"That is proven by a very serious ethical violation against Anwar Usman (former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court). So at that time when the constitution was castrated, automatically the status of all membership completeness related to the PDI-P was declared over," explained Hasto.

Meanwhile, the Surakarta PDIP DPC has also sent a letter to Gibran stating that his membership status in the party is no longer valid.

"The membership of the PDI-P does not merely exist or not, but is committed to building a good nation and state life," said Hasto.

Previously, Jokowi admitted that he still had a PDIP membership card (KTA). Jokowi conveyed this when asked about his membership status in the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"Yes, still," said Jokowi in Solo, Central Java, Tuesday, December 3.
