A Number Of Entertainment Agendas In South Korea Canceled Today Due To Military Emergency
JAKARTA - A number of entertainment agendas in South Korea were canceled today, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, due to martial law. Previously, a military emergency was announced by the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, on Tuesday night, December 3, 2024.
Even though the South Korean parliament refused and the president was about to revoke the military's emergency declaration, it turned out that it still had an impact on a number of entertainment agendas. Several agendas scheduled for today had to be canceled.
Launching from Naver, the canceled entertainment agenda started from Seo Hyunjin's interview for the promotion of her new drama, The Trunk. The interview schedule for Gong Yoo and Jung Yoonha is also rescheduled and a new schedule will be announced later.
A photowall event opening a luxury jewelry brand at Apgujeong, Gangnam, which was originally held this morning had to be canceled. Some of the artists scheduled to attend the event were Kim Jaeyoung, Nam Yoonsoo, Jung Eunchae, and others.

The photocall agenda for the Jo Malone London brand was also canceled, which was supposed to be held this afternoon. Some of the artists who have previously been confirmed to attend the event are Kim Soohyun, Sieun STAYC, and Yeoreum WJSN.
Not only that, a number of television morning shows such as KBS AM Plaza, MBC Live Show This Morning, and SBS Good Morning, were not broadcast. This is because television stations broadcast breaking news regarding military emergency status in South Korea.
