Chainlink Price Rises After Whale Crypto Nyerok Hundreds Of Thousands Of Coins
JAKARTA Chainlink (LINK) recently recorded a significant price spike, which caught the attention of the global crypto market. In the last 24 hours, LINK prices jumped to 28%, from 19 US dollars (approximately Rp300,200) to 24 US dollars (approximately Rp379,200). The increase was followed by a 932% increase in trading volume recently.
According to data from CoinMarketCap, Chainlink's market cap has now reached 15 billion US dollars (approximately IDR 237 trillion), beating Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Hedera (HBAR). The spike in LINK prices has even exceeded Bitcoin (BTC) performance in the past month, where LINK recorded a 126% increase, while Bitcoin only grew 40%.
This tremendous price increase cannot be separated from the actions of "whale" or large crypto holders, who buy large amounts of LINK. On December 3, 2024, Lookonchain stated that one of the whales accumulated LINK worth US$6.6 million (around Rp104.2 billion) in 12 hours to buy 269,861 tokens.
Then, this whale spent 2.6 million US dollars (approximately IDR 41 billion) to buy 107,838 LINK on DEX (Decentralized Exchange) at a price of 24.1 US dollars per token, and withdrew 162,024 LINK worth 4.08 million US dollars (approximately IDR 64.4 billion) from Binance.
Even so, market sentiment towards Chainlink is very positive, with 80% of investors showing optimism for the prospects for this token. Chainlink is also increasingly known for its strategic cooperation with large institutions such as JPMorgan, UBS, and Microsoft.
The support from these large companies further strengthens Chainlink on its great potential for the long term. Chainlink is one of the tokens that crypto investors should pay attention to.
