Hendrar Prihadi Examined By KPK, Claims To Be Questioned About Mbak Ita Case
PDI-P (PDIP) politician Hendrar Prihadi visited the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. The candidate for deputy governor of Central Java admitted that he had been questioned since morning.
Hendi admitted that he was being questioned regarding the alleged corruption in the Semarang City Government that ensnared the current Semarang Mayor, Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahyu or Mbak Ita.
"There is an invitation to testify to several things at the Semarang City Government," Hendi told reporters at the location.
In addition, he was also asked for information regarding his activities while serving as Mayor of Semarang for the 2016-2021 and 2021-2022 periods.
As for the examination of Hendi, KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika has not been able to provide an explanation. He has not been able to confirm the capacity of the former Head of the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP).
Previously reported, the KPK began investigating three alleged corruption crimes within the Semarang City Government (Pemkot). The details are the procurement of goods and services within the Semarang City Government in 2023-2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants related to incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area, as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities in 2023-2024.
Searches have been carried out in various locations such as in the cities of Semarang, Kudus, Salatiga, and others. From there, documents up to Rp1 billion and 9,650 euros were found as well as dozens of watches allegedly related to the case.
In this case, four people have been named as suspects. They are Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu or Mbak Ita who is the Mayor of Semarang, Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java DPRD who is also the husband of Mbak Ita, Alwin Basri; Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gappensi) Semarang City, Martono; and Rahmat Djangkar who is a private party.
However, the four people have not been officially announced by the KPK. The announcement was made in conjunction with the forced detention attempt.
