Despite Knowing There Are Entrepreneurs Can Not Afford, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government: THR Should Not Be In Installments!

JAKARTA - Head of the Office of Manpower and Transmigration DKI Jakarta Andri Yansyah confirmed the Provincial Government of DKI following the direction of the central government to require companies to pay the Holiday Allowance (THR) in full (full).

"We still refer to the more rules on it related to THR should not be in installments", said Andri when contacted, Monday, April 12.

Andri said it will distribute circulars (SE) to companies in Jakarta, as well as to conduct supervision and receive complaints if any companies do not comply with THR's decision this year.

However, Andri claimed to know some companies are not able to provide full THR this year. For example, businessmen in the field of transportation have no income because of the ban on Eid al-Fitr homecoming.

"We can see from the type of company, whether the company is affected or not affected. Related to transportation companies, many also ask the question. There is a ban on homecoming, which automatically will also affect their income", said Andri.

After receiving a report from the company concerned, Disnakertras DKI will facilitate negotiations between employers and their working groups (Bipartit).

"Later we will direct to conduct Bipartit negotiations. It could also be later we facilitate Tripartit (a forum for communication, consultation, and deliberation on manpower issues whose members consist of elements from the government, employers' organizations, and trade unions) negotiations. But in principle, by the decision of the central government that we will strengthen that THR should not be in installments, point!", he explained.

He said some sanctions will be applied if the company is unable to pay in full. However, Andri admitted that he could not disclose the sanctions. Surely we will apply sanctions by the provisions", he concluded.
