Kualitative Data Analysis Techniques In Scientific Research
YOGYAKARTA If you have ever done scientific research, you must have heard the technique of qualitative data analysis. The technique is used to obtain conclusions drawn from data discovery. For more details, see the following explanation.
In exploring new science, there are many things that need to be done, one of which is research. Research activities themselves have measurable procedures so that the results are clear and based on existing data and facts.
Research itself is done using an approach that suits the object. One approach that is often used is a qualitative approach. The approach is chosen with the aim of understanding or gaining an understanding of a phenomenon.
In a book entitled Kualitative Data Analysis, Sirajuddin Saleh, S.Pd., M.Pd. explained that research was conducted through various stages. One of the stages that researchers will do with the qualitative method is data analysis. This stage is often considered the heaviest and must be done by researchers.
It should be noted that data that can be used by yourself can vary, ranging from text, interviews, observations, and other forms of data. After that, researchers can begin to perform stages of data analysis using qualitative techniques.
Researchers will conduct light analysis before actually conducting analytical activities. This activity can be done with data on the results of studies that have been done before. Or it could also be with secondary data to determine the focus of research. It's just that the focus of research is temporary.
Data analysis in qualitative research was carried out when data collection was carried out and after data collection for a certain period. For example, when the interview collected data, researchers had already analyzed the informant's answer. If the informant's answer turned out to be unsatisfactory, the researchers would continue the question.
Activities in the qualitative data analysis have three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and inference or verification.
Once the data is reduced, the researchers will conduct data presentations. In a qualitative analysis, recitation is done with tables, graphics, pictograms, and other techniques.
In the third stage is to draw conclusions or verification. It should be noted that researchers will draw initial conclusions but only temporary. Temporarily, if the conclusion supports valid and consistent evidence, then conclusions can be used.

In qualitative research, conclusions have always been new findings that have never been found before. The findings themselves can be in the form of descriptions or descriptions of an object that was previously still dim or even dark. Then after being researched, the object became bright.
