Jaguar Introduces Type 00 Electric GT Concept Car
JAKARTA - After being a joke because of the rebranding logo in cyberspace, Jaguar has again become the center of attention of the automotive world by introducing their latest super GT electric concept, Type 00.
This car marked a major transformation for this British brand in the era of electric vehicles. With a unique and daring design, Type 00 marks a completely different new start for Jaguar. That is, Type 00 is a major step for Jaguar to leave their old legacy. With a very different design from the previous model, this concept confirms Jaguar's commitment to becoming a modern, eccentric, and innovative brand.
In a global release, December 3, it was called Jaguar Type 00 carrying a boat-tail design inspired by classic 1930s cars. However, this car presents a modern, minimalist and futuristic interpretation. With the long engine hood, large wheelbase, as well as a sloping roof, Type 00 looks like it is moving even in a stationary state.
"We have formed a new creative and tireless character for Jaguar according to Jaguar's DNA towards the future, remain relevant, and stand out," said Jaguar's Managing Director Rawdon Glover.
Other details of this concept car include a pop-out camera as a substitute for traditional mirrors and a hidden charging port. However, these features may not be present in the production version later. Jaguar targets a range of up to 430 miles (692 km) with EPA estimates for its production model, obviously, it's quite ambitious as the first model to enter the electric vehicle market.

Transformative Interior
Entering the Type 00 cabin, you will be greeted with a futuristic design that completely leaves the traditional Jaguar wood element. Instead, the car offers a personalization experience through three options: Brass, Travertine, and Alabaster. This totem is stored in a hidden compartment and when mounted on the center console, the cabin automatically adjusts the lighting, sound atmosphere, and screen graphics to create an atmosphere that suits the selected material. The main screen can also be hidden in the dashboard, leaving a small screen that displays important information while driving.
Unfortunately, this two-door concept car will not be produced, but it will all be the basis for the Jaguar version of the road which will launch in 2026.
