Governor Of Southeast Sulawesi Commits To Eradicate Corruption Practices In His Region
JAKARTA - The Governor of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra), Ali Mazi, expressed his commitment to eradicating corruption practices that occur in the region.
"One concrete form of the commitment is to increase cooperation between the Inspectorate of Southeast Sulawesi Province and law enforcement officials, both the High Prosecutor's Office and the Police to control the strategic programs of the provincial and district/city", said Ali Mazi when opening the seminar entitled "Strategy to Prevent Corruption Scope of the Regional Government of Southeast Sulawesi Province" in Kendari, reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 13.
Ali Mazi said a very important thing in order to prevent corruption is the strengthening of the implementation of internal control systems in the government environment, which is carried out massively and continuously.
"This is very relevant to the theme of the seminar, namely 'Through The Improvement of APIP (Government Internal Surveillance Apparatus) Capability and Supervisory Synergy between APIP and APH (Law Enforcement Officers) in Supporting the Realization of Clean Government in Sultra Provincial Government'", he said.
According to Ali Mazi, this seminar is the implementation of a memorandum of understanding between the Audit Board of Finance and Development (BPKP) Representative of Southeast Sulawesi and the provincial government on December 2, 2020.
Some of the points that became the focus in the memorandum of understanding, he said, include the implementation of supervision activities in the local government environment.
Furthermore, the improvement of the capabilities of the government's internal supervisory apparatus. Lastly, the supervision of financial governance and regional development.
"To achieve a clean government, not only requires strong enthusiasm but also requires a strong determination. Coordination, and supervision of corruption prevention, which in recent years has been carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), is one of the real efforts in promoting a clean and corruption-free government", said Ali Mazi.
Also giving material in the seminar was Deputy Head of Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) for Investigation Agustina Arumsari and Director of Coordination and Supervision of Regional Enforcement and Prevention IV KPK Niken Ariati.
