Four Indonesian National Team Players Excluded By Shin Tae-yong In TC Ahead Of The 2024 AFF Cup
JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, officially dropped four players from the training camp (TC) in Bali ahead of the 2024 AFF Cup.
The four names of players who were dropped by the TC list were Alfan Suaib, Made Tito, Dzaky Asraf, and Arsa Ahmad. Three names were sent home due to injuries during training during the Indonesian national team TC, while the remaining one was still injured and had not had time to join.
"We have sent home three players (from TC). Made Tito, Dzaky Asraf, and Alfan Suaib," said the Indonesian national team manager, Sumardji, in a statement quoted on Monday, December 2, 2024.
Meanwhile, another player that Shin Tae-yong dropped was Arsa Ahmad. Sumardji said, the Madura United player had not at all joined the Indonesian national team's TC in Bali because of an injury and was finally crossed out.
"This Arsa Ahmad has not yet arrived (joining the National Team TC). I checked directly with his team of doctors Madura United about Arsa, she was in the healing process for about a month and a half," said Sumardji.
The Indonesian national team is currently undergoing a training camp in Bali. For this agenda, Shin Tae-yong called 33 players, seven of whom were diaspora players.
As of Monday, December 2, 2024, 23 players are known to have joined. While the rest who have not docked are abroad players, such as Asnawi Mangkualam and Marselino Ferdinand.
