Asking For Re-Pilkada, Banjarbaru Residents Demo At DPRD
BANJARBARU - Hundreds of residents of Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan held a demonstration at the DPRD building demanding election results to the regions while asking for a re-election to channel their voting rights.
People who are members of the Democracy Concerned Community Movement (GMPD) are dominated by mothers demonstrating in front of the City DPRD building on Jalan Basuki Rahmat Banjarbaru, Monday, December 2.
Protesters carrying banners and billboards contained criticism from the election results and loudspeakers conveying their aspirations were accepted by the Chairman of the DPRD Gusti Rizky Sukma Iskandar Putera.
One of the protesters, Sri Naida, emphasized that the rejection of the election results and asked for a re-election because the voting rights channeled during the vote on November 27, 2024, were considered invalid.
"We demand that the re-cash with empty boxes and not our voices be deemed invalid. We are also demanding that the commissioners of the KPU and Bawaslu be examined," Sri Naida said through a loudspeaker reported by ANTARA.
The former member of the Banjarbaru DPRD also expressed disappointment with the election organizers because the votes acquired by the disqualified candidates actually won according to the quick count results.
"What we demand, it's not about who won the election but we don't want our votes to be channeled in but it is considered invalid by the kpu as the election organizer," he said.
Furthermore, representatives of protesters were accepted in the Intan DPRD Ring Hall in dialogue with the Chairman of the DPRD and the Chairman of the KPU Dahliar and the Head of Operations for the Banjarbaru Police, Kompol Indra Agung Perdana Putra.
During the dialogue, a number of representatives expressed their aspirations, including asking the DPRD to facilitate their efforts to demand a re-election to the Constitutional Court (MK) so that their voices do not disappear.
One of them, University of Lambung Mangkurat lecturer Banjarbaru Udiansyah who emphasized that he was ready to sue the results of the Banjarbaru Pilkada to the Constitutional Court (MK) and the Supreme Court (MA).
"We are ready to sue the election results and report the organizers of the Banjarbaru regional elections, both kpu and Bawaslu, to the Election Organizers Honorary Council," said one of the professors at the ULM.
The chairman of the Banjarbaru DPRD, Gusti Rizky, emphasized his readiness to help oversee the public's lawsuit to the Constitutional Court regarding the rejection of the results of the Banjarbaru Regional Election as submitted by the protesters.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Banjarbaru KPU, Dahtiar, said that his party was only a regulator and the decision to disqualify candidate pair number 2 Aditya-Said Abdullah was in accordance with applicable regulations.
It is known, the Pilkada of Banjarbaru City according to Sirekap's calculations showed an interesting phenomenon because the vote acquisition for the single candidate pair number 1 Erna Lisa Halabi-Wartono lost badly.
This was because many voters actually voted for the voting paper with candidate pair number 2 Aditya-Said Abdullah with a vote of up to 68 percent but the nomination was canceled due to disqualification.
Disqualification because candidate pair number 2 was deemed to have committed a violation ahead of the regional elections and the KPU did not have time to print a new ballot containing one candidate pair so that only one candidate, namely Erna Lisa Halabi and Wartono.
