FireFighting Robots Deployed To Tackle Sunday Market Inpres Market Fires
JAKARTA - Jakarta firefighters used a unit of luf-60 fast-powered water spray robot to deal with the fire that hit Block C, Pasar Inpres Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.
Head of the Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) DKI Jakarta Satriadi Gunawan said the deployment of the robot is very helpful firefighting efforts from officers.
"By the time this outage has been successful, it allows members to go inside and currently members can already go inside, get into the basement," he was quoted as saying by Antara, Monday, April 12.
In addition to taming the fire, the firefighting robot from the 2019 procurement also serves to parse the billowing smoke so as to speed up the blackout process.
"Looking at the location of the area, it does take time to get to the cooling process. At least we have localized, do not get in Block C to penetrate into other buildings," he said.
Before, the fire at Pasar Impres Pasar Minggu was expected to occur around 6:30 p.m.
The magnitude of the blaze resulted in Damkar DKI adding pump cars deployed for blackouts of up to 30 units and supported by 165 personnel.
