Police Chief: Nemangkawi Operation Task Force Solid Guard Papua
JAKARTA - Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked the Nemangkawi Operation Task Force to remain solid. Nemangkawi Task Force always synergizes to protect the easternmost region of Indonesia, Papua.
"Always solid and always synergy to keep our beloved region at the eastern end, make sure that we all love Papua," said the Police Chief during a teleconference with operation task force Nemangkawi quoted Antara, Monday, April 12.
In his direction, the Police Chief reminded the Nemangkawi Operations Task Force to put forward a soft approach (protection, protection, and community service).
Against the disruption of security order that can endanger lives, the Police Chief told the task force to take legal action in a measured and decisive manner.
"I am sure that the colleagues of Operation Nemangkawi Task Force are able to provide understanding to all Papuans that we all love Papua," Listyo said.
Kasatgas Nemangkawi Brig. Gen. Roycke Harry Langie said that the task force always put forward synergy in every operation.
He explained that Operation Nemangkawi Task Force took place with the synergy of TNI/Polri in Papua and West Papua.
Operation Nemangkawi TNI/Polri, he said, has taken place five times. In the first phase of 2021 held an army of 1,186 people.
"All the troops have been vaccinated so that the composition of the troops is in top shape," Roycke said.
Roycke accompanied by Papua Police Chief Irjen Matius Fakhiri and TNI representatives explained that all troops were held to several areas called mini zones, namely Mimika, Intajaga, Beuga, and Ilaga.
Roycke revealed the situation in Beuga and Ilaga after the shooting that killed two teachers, namely Oktovianus Rayo (42) on Thursday, April 8 and Yonathan Rande (30) on Friday, April 9, already controlled by Operation Nemangkawi Task Force.
"All activities have been able to gradually take place normally and we report based on the results of an intensive investigation the perpetrators of the shooting have been identified and together with Mr. Kapolda will conduct a pursuit and legal action of course that is firm and measurable," Roycke said.
