Thunderstorms Threaten Several Big Cities In Indonesia Today
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts rain accompanied by lightning will hit a number of major cities in Indonesia today, Monday, December 2, including Bandung, Semarang, Tanjung Pinang, Palu, and Manado.
In its official statement, BMKG Putri weather forecaster, provided details of weather forecasts in various regions:
Padang City Sumatra Island: Expected foggy. Banda Aceh and Pekanbaru: Light rain. Medan: Moderate rain. Jambi, Palembang, and Pangkal Pinang: Beware of rain accompanied by lightning. Bengkulu and Lampung: Light rain.
Java Serang Island: Berawan.Yogyakarta: Moderate rain. Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Surabaya: Beware of potential lightning and heavy rain.
Bali and Nusa Tenggara Kupang: moderate rain. Denpasar and Mataram: Potential rain accompanied by lightning.
The islands of Kalimantan Pontianak and Banjarmasin: Light rain. Pangalkaraya, Tanjung Selor, and Samarinda: Beware of rain accompanied by lightning.
Sulawesi Island Gorontalo: Cloudy Clouds. Makassar and Kendari: Light rain. Mamuju, Palu, and Manado: Potential for rain accompanied by lightning.
