The US Dollar Index Is Predicted To Strengthen Driven By President Donald Trump's Statement On BRICS
JAKARTA - Financial Market Observer and Commodity Ariston Tjendra said that the United States (US) dollar index this morning looks stronger, which is in the range of 106.18 compared to Friday morning at the 105.88 level.
"The market participants are wary of the statement of the President-elect of the US, Donald Trump, who is starting to beat the gender of the trade war," he told VOI, Monday, December 2.
Ariston delivered several statements recently that threatened an increase in tariffs to neighboring countries and China and recently also threatened BRICS countries not to issue new currencies.
"This confrontational statement raises market participants' concern that the global economy will be volatile during the Trump administration," he explained.
According to Ariston, assets in the US dollar are an option amid concerns that the US dollar is still strong.
