Patience, Mom! Ahead Of Ramadan Food Prices In Bogor Skyrocket, Beef Rp150 Thousand Per Kg

BOGOR - Bogor Deputy Regent Iwan Setiawan found a number of food commodity prices have increased significantly entering Ramadan.

This was revealed by Iwan Setiawan after reviewing Citeureup II Market in Bogor Regency, West Java on Monday, April 12.

"The availability of food stocks is relatively safe, despite the increase in some commodities. I instructed the office to make a cheap Ramadan bazaar in H-7 Hari Raya to maintain price stability," he said after reviewing the market reported by Antara.

Food commodities that experienced an increase in beef that originally ranged from Rp110 thousand per kilogram now reached Rp150 thousand per kilogram. Then, chicken meat Rp35 thousand per kilogram now reaches Rp43 thousand per kilogram.

Iwan said, despite the price increase, but the availability of food stocks is relatively safe. The relevant agencies are asked to continue to conduct market operations in order to reduce price increases.

Gerindra Party politicians appealed to traders to continue to coordinate with Perumda Pasar Tohaga about information on the availability of goods and report price movements on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, President Director (Dirut) perumda Pasar Tohaga, Haris Setiawan confirmed that there is a price increase when entering the month of Ramadan. According to him, price increases usually occur when market demand increases.

"We continue to monitor price fluctuations and stock availability of goods. Market operations are necessary to intervene in prices, especially basic needs that always soar sharply ahead of the holiday," explained Haris.
