Positive For Drugs, Hit And Run Perpetrators On Jalan KS Tubun Become Suspects

JAKARTA VAZ (24), the perpetrator of the hit-and-run 5 vehicles on Jalan KH Sholeh Iskandar and Jalan KS Tubun, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday 27 November 2024, was named a suspect. Head of the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit Iptu FX Susilo in Bogor City, said that VAZ had been detained at the Bogor City Police Headquarters for his actions.

He explained that the determination of the VAZ to be a suspect was based on the results of a case conducted by the police. The accident case has been upgraded to a fingerprint process, so the driver of the car was detained.

"Yesterday, a case was filed, then everything was raised to the fingerprint process, the driver was detained," he said.

Based on further examinations, said Susilo, the results of the VAZ urine test also showed positive for using drugs. It is also suspected to be one of the causes of the accident.

"Because I'm not careful, one of the concentrations is affected because of that (drugs)," he said.

Susilo said that one of the motorcyclists who was one of the victims of the collision died. The victim breathed his last on Friday, November 29, 2024, after receiving treatment at the hospital due to serious injuries from the hit-and-run incident.

For his actions, VAZ is subject to articles 311 and 312 of the LLAJ Law with a penalty of 12 years in prison. Meanwhile, for positive drugs, it will be handed over to the Bogor City Police Narcotics Unit for further investigation.
