Haaland Has A Chance To Become A Footballer With A Salary Of Rp19.9 Billion Per Week
JAKARTA - Erling Haaland has the opportunity to become a footballer with a salary of 1 million pounds (Rp19.9 billion) per week. Mino Raiola's agent is reportedly looking to secure a big deal for the Borussia Dortmund star.
This summer, Haaland has been linked with many European giants. Manchester United, Barcelona and Manchester City are among those interested.
Raiola and Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, travelled Europe recently, meeting with potential clubs for the 20-year-old.
The Mirror reports that Raiola's plan to make Haaland the first player on a £1m-a-week salary practically limits the clubs who can afford the Norwegian.
It is claimed that only Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG can afford the salary.
The Mirror adds: "Premier League clubs are not the only ones who have been in the premier league. City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have been warned that any deal for Haaland would be the biggest in football history.
A huge transfer fee might be expected, but Raiola will demand high personal terms for the Dortmund player.
He has scored 39 goals in 41 games for his club and country this season. The clubs that are after him are aware of that.
Haaland will be available in the transfer market with a release clause of 68 million pounds (Rp1.358 trillion) by 2022. However, former Liverpool player and current Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness believes a world transfer record will soon come from Haaland.
"According to reports last week, Borussia Dortmund have put a price tag of 300 million pounds (Rp5.993 trillion) on their 20-year-old striker," Sauness recently reported from the Daily Star.
"If I were them, I would want an extra £300 million plus for the Norwegian international."
"All the top clubs are ready to pursue it. Set your sights on the rest of Europe and every big club needs a goalscorer."
