Before Appearing In The 2024 AFF Cup, The Indonesian National Team Tested The Tanding Against Bali United

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will appear in the 2024 AFF Cup in December 2024. Prior to that, Shin Tae-yong's troops underwent a training camp (TC) in Bali, where on that agenda they will also conduct a match test against Bali United.

TC has been going on since November 27, 2024. In the training camp agenda, Shin Tae-yong called 33 players to be selected.

One way to see the performance of the players is to undergo a test match. The Indonesian national team is scheduled to undergo a match against Bali United which is planned to be held on December 3, 2024.

This is as stated by Shin Tae-yong as the head coach of the Garuda Squad.

"Like what has been discussed with Pak Erick (Thohir), the 2024 AFF Cup is a big tournament and is prepared for the 2025 SEA Games."

"These young players can help the team in the future," said Shin Tae-yong in a release quoted Friday, November 29, 2024.

"We are here (Bali) until December 4, 2024. December 3, 2024 will fight Bali United."

"After that, he returned to Jakarta and left (to the AFF Cup) on December 5, 2024," said the South Korean coach.

For the AFF Cup this time, Shin Tae-yong chose to field the young players, the majority of whom were still under the age of 22.

However, this did not prevent Shin's ambition to bring the Indonesian national team to shine on this biennial stage.

"As we all know, we are against all senior national teams (players). We are the only ones who use the U-22. However, we will stick together and make something good," said Shin Tae-yong.

On the agenda of the 2024 AFF Cup, the inaugural match will be played by the Indonesian national team by visiting the headquarters of Myanmar, December 9, 2024.
