West Java KPU Ensures Missing Voice Letter Doesn't Disturb Calculation Process
The General Election Commission (KPU) of West Java confirmed that the remaining ballots reported missing, including 49 sheets at TPS 10 Sumur Bandung, did not interfere with the West Java Pilkada vote count process.
West Java KPU chairman Ummi Wahyuni emphasized that the vote count process would not be disturbed because the election organizers would only use vote acquisition data based on the results of the C1 document from the TPS.
"There have been no reports regarding the remaining missing ballots (including at TPS 10 Sumur Bandung). In my opinion, it was tucked away. It is certain that the results will be C1, it will not interfere," said Ummi as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 29.
Therefore, Ummi asked the district/city KPUs that experienced ballot problems, including in West Bandung, which reportedly contained ballots, to coordinate, supervise and assist PPK, PPS and KPPS, so that the process of calculating ballot recapitulation can run well.
"Because there are so many of our organizers, especially since there is one TPS that is difficult," he said.
Previously, at TPS 10 Sumur Bandung Bandung City from 598 ballots, 49 were missing. This problem was reported in a special incident format.
Ummi also revealed that the results of the 2024 Pilkada vote count, including the level of community participation, will only be seen when the recapitulation at the provincial level is carried out which is targeted on December 16, 2024.
"We cannot convey it yet, because it is still recapitulating in PPK. To the province on December 16. We ask to ensure that logistics is safe, it must be maintained if there is a PSU or PSL or a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court," he said.
