The Death Toll Due To Landslides In Sembahe Sibolangit Becomes 9 People

Medan Police Chief Kombes GidionArif Setyawan stated that the death toll from landslides in Sembahe Village, Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, was nine people.

"There were two of the latest victims evacuated today, after seven other dead victims were found the previous day," said Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 28.

He explained that the joint team consisted of the Deli Serdang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency, North Sumatra Police, Medan Polrestabes, and Pancur Batu Police continued to work.

The team evacuated residents trapped by landslides and victims buried by landslides, and cleaned up landslides using heavy equipment.

Data from the Medan Polrestabes states that until now the traffic flow of Medan-Berastagi has not been passed by vehicles due to being covered by landslide material in the PDAM Tirtanadi area, Deli Serdang Regency, Wednesday (27/11).

"All casualties have been found, and we have handed them over to their respective families after being equipped with a report," said Gidion.
