KPUD Jakarta Tegaskan, Pegang Teguh Hasil Recapitulasi Manual Berjenjang

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Regional General Election Commission (KPUD) has asked all people and local election participants to wait for the vote count process until the deadline for December 16, 2024.

Although there is already an overview of the results of the voting submitted by various survey institutions and Sirekap, they confirm that the results of the official and legitimate Jakarta regional elections are only based on the results of the tiered manual recapitulation.

Chairman of the Jakarta KPU, Wahyu Dinata, said that they adhered to the results of the vote recapitulation carried out by officers in stages.

Therefore, they are not affected by the results of quick calculations or declarations that have been submitted by election participants to the public.

The process of recapitulating the tiered manual by the Jakarta KPUD has started today. And at the latest it will be December 16.

"We hold that the official results are only issued by the KPU. The deadline is no later than December 16," he said when confirmed by reporters, Thursday, November 28.

"The public, please wait for official results, vote counting carried out by the KPU and this is done in stages recapitulation, from the sub-district level to the provincial level," he added.

Meanwhile, Jakarta KPUD Commissioner Fahmi Ziryptah ensured that his agency would closely oversee the ongoing manual sound recapitulation process.

He stated that the results of the vote uploaded to Sirekap were only tools so that the public could monitor the vote acquisition at each polling station.

However, as stated by the chairman of the Jakarta KPUD, Sirekap is not a benchmark for determining the results of the Jakarta regional elections.

According to Fahmi, it is one of the bases for the Central KPU not to display the vote count results uploaded to Sirekap in the form of diagrams, infographics, or tabulations.

The reason is none other than because Sirekap is only a tool made by the KPU to maintain the integrity of the voting results. Sirekap was not used as a basis by the KPU to announce and determine the winner in political contestation throughout Indonesia.

"While the official results will still be carried out later through a recapitulation carried out manually and in stages from the sub-district level, then in the city. to the province. Now that is the basis, whether the victory is really, the percentage is confirmed through the recapitulation carried out manually and in stages," he said.
