Barasuara Personnel Translate Thoughts And Trips

JAKARTA - After releasing the album Mind and Travel, Barasuara wants to return to providing special works for his fans. A compilation album was made. Interestingly, the compilation album, which is called PQ-Race and Travel, contains the song Barasuara's personnel's version of the song “Mind and Travel”.

Since November 20, Barasuara has released a personnel version of Thoughts and Travels starting with TJ Kusuma, Marco Steffiano, then Gerald Situmorang. This will continue until 6 December. Through each version, Barasuara personnel can explore and translate the other side of the song “Mind and Travel” according to their wishes.

Different from Barasuara's friends who released a new version, Barasuara drummer Marco chose to compose the original version.

"I grew up and like the Top 40 industry, so I'm used to it and I'm comfortable with remixing it," Marco replied through a press release received by VOI, Wednesday, November 27.

Initially, Marco intended to invite a musician to participate in filling in his version but due to inconsistent schedules, Marco decided to do it himself.

“I'm grateful I'm in a band with Barasuara. Their creativity is very wide, so after listening, I can learn a lot and take from them, "explained Marco. To be sure, Barasuara's third album will make Barasuara's personnel more productive and work together.

Guitarist TJ also gave a surprise. As personnel who rarely work outside Barasuara, of course many are curious about how TJ made his own thoughts and journeys.

“The Barasuara children are fond of analyzing. I loved old rock, so if Marco or Gerald said, 'TJ must be old rock,' now I want it, 'I didn't! " said TJ.

Then, TJ invited Yosavianto Santoso, his partner in the LCD Trip band, Tristan Juliano from Mantra Vutura, and Karel William. For vocals, TJ invites you Perdana, Matajiwa personnel. As a result, a relaxing, rhythmic tune was created by TJ's version of Mind and Travel. TJ feels that this project allows Barasuara to voice the diversity of each personnel in music.

"I know better what to do if there is a project like this again. It turns out to be fun, and it turns out that if you want, you can, "he explained.

Celebrating the release of the album PQ-Race and Travel, Barasuara will hold a showcase with the same theme on December 9 at M Bloc Space, Jakarta. For the first time ever, the six members of Barasuara will be performing their own version of Mind and Travel. Currently, tickets have been sold through the counters in a limited number.
