The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the flow of money from PT Taspen (Persero) investment results which was later suspected to be fictitious. Two witnesses were questioned by investigators, one of which was Thomas Hermanto S. who is the Director of PT Insight Investment Management.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika said the examination of the two witnesses was carried out on Tuesday, November 26. They were worked on at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"The witnesses were all present and investigators studied the flow of money from PT Taspen (Persero) investment," Tessa told reporters in a written statement, Thursday, November 28.

Apart from Thomas, another witness who was also questioned by investigators was Jusmaidi Indra, who is the former Senior Vice President of Investment Analysis of PT Taspen (Persero).

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of investment in PT Taspen (Persero), which has a value of IDR 1 trillion. Two suspects have been named even though it has not been officially announced, namely former President Director of PT Taspen Antonius Nicholas Stephanus Kosasih and Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto as President Director of Insight Investment Management.

Recently, the anti-corruption commission is investigating whether there is a kick back or thank you to Kosasih. The investigation is said to be being carried out but has not been detailed by the Director of Investigation of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu.

"That's what we are looking for (win back, red)," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters quoted on Thursday, November 7.

"One of them is because it turns out that the investment is not profitable, it continues to be a loss there," he said.

As for state losses, the KPK has not yet conveyed it. The calculation is said to be still carried out by cooperating with auditors and state financial experts.
