Today, Firli Bahuri Is Again Examined In The SYL Extortion Case
JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, is scheduled to provide information as a suspect in the alleged extortion case against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL, today, Thursday, November 28.
Today's examination is known to be a follow-up to investigators after Firli Bahuri was absent from the schedule for taking information on February 26.
"It is scheduled or scheduled for additional examination or request for information from the suspect FB on Thursday, November 28, 2024," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, quoted Thursday, November 28.
Pada penchedulan pemeriksaan, Firli Bahuri rencananya akan diperiksa di Bareskrim Polri sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB.
However, there is no certainty regarding whether Firli Bahuri will fulfill the summons for the examination.
Firli Bahuri's attorney, Ian Iskandar, did not provide any information when confirmed regarding his client's presence, either by telephone or short message.
As a reminder, there are two alleged criminal acts that are being investigated regarding Firli Bahuri. First, the alleged extortion of SYL as regulated in Article 12e or 12B or Article 11 in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code.
In this case, investigators have examined 134 witnesses and experts to date. The number is likely to continue to grow as the case is not completed.
The second alleged criminal act is a meeting with the berkaka party, namely SYL as stated in Article 36 junto Article 65 of the KPK Law.

In handling the case, 39 witnesses and experts have been examined. However, Firli Bahuri's status is still being reported.
"The total number of witnesses who have been examined is 37 people, with details, 7 members of the National Police, 16 KPK employees, 16 Ministry of Agriculture employees, 4 civilians, 1 criminal expert, and 1 procedural law expert," said Ade.
