Megawati Believes Andika-Hendi Will Not Lose At The Banteng Cage If Central Java Gubernatorial Election Fair
JAKARTA - The general chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP), Megawati Soekarnoputri, reacted after her party that carried Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi in the Central Java Pilkada lost.
This pair is said to be unbeaten if there is no mobilization. Initially, Megawati said Central Java was not just a bull cage or PDIP vote base.
For him, this province became a place for the development of ideas of nationalism and patriotism with the spirit of the movement of the people, sympathizers, and militant cadres.
"I know Central Java well. I have been elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives three times. Central Java is not only a 'bullet cage', but has become a place for the idea of nationalism and patriotism," Megawati said in a video caption, Wednesday night, November 27, 2024.
"I see the energy of the movement of the people, sympathizers, militant cadres, and should be unbeaten if the Pilkada is carried out fairly, honestly, and fairly," he said again.
Megawati then accused PDIP of losing at home because of the mobilization of power. He even said that he had heard reports of the use of regional head officials to mutations of police apparatus for the sake of electoral politics.
"What is happening now is beyond the limits of propriety, ethics, morals, and conscience," he said.
