Mencoblos Di Jaksel, JK Titip Pesan Gubernur Jakarta Terpilih Prioritaskan Daerah Banjir

JAKARTA - The 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) voted for the Jakarta Pilkada accompanied by his wife, children, and grandchildren at TPS 02 which is located in the yard of Pangudi Luhur Pulo High School, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta (Jaksel).

JK together with his wife walked to TPS 02 which was behind his residence at 09.30 WIB.

After voting, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) expressed his gratitude for being able to choose the next Jakarta leader candidate according to conscience.

He also hopes that the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections that take place can run democratically and safely.

"Yes, so that the regional elections are carried out democratically and safely. Hopefully the chosen leaders will weigh it," he said in a written statement, Wednesday, November 27.

In addition, he also hopes that the next leader of Jakarta is a leader who is able to bring balance in every region because according to him, Jakarta leaders should not only focus on building in one area.

The problems in Jakarta that he highlighted were slum areas, floods, and congestion. He hopes that the Governor of Jakarta can then fix these problems.

"For example, by building Kampung Melayu, Tanjung Priok, and slum areas, flooded areas. It must be built first," he said.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has appointed three candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor of Jakarta to run in the Jakarta Pilkada.

The three candidate pairs are Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) number 1, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent serial numbers 2 and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) serial number 3.

A total of 8.2 million voters who have been designated as a permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will exercise their voting rights at 14,835 polling stations (TPS) on November 27, 2024.
