The Head Of Bawaslu Calls There Are Allegations That 'Fajar Attack' Can Be Prevented

Chairman of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) RI Rahmat Bagja said a number of alleged "dawn attack" or bribery practices in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada could be prevented.

"There are several incidents that we can prevent, based on public reports we prevent," Bagja said, quoting Antara.

According to Bagja, his party is still waiting for a complete report from the Bawaslu ranks in the regions regarding the monitoring of the alleged "dawn attack".

"In DKI Jakarta, some have been prevented. In some areas, we are still waiting for the report. In East Lubuk it is still in process at the Gakkumdu Center. Due to strong evidence, we think we can enter the Gakkumdu Center and the process can be faster," said Bagja.

Bawaslu's findings in preventing the alleged practice of the "dawn attack", said Bagja, include the alleged distribution of basic necessities in an area.

Bagja further said that his party was also watching the floods that hit several areas in North Sumatra, such as Medan and Deli Serdang.

"In part of Medan, Deli Serdang there is a flood. Then whether it will continue or there will be other mitigations such as the follow-up regional election, we are still waiting for the KPU. The Binjai KPU has also submerged its office. This is a concern," he explained.
