Anies Baswedan's Joke about the 2024 Regional Elections: Unique, Did All the Participants Vote in Jakarta?

JAKARTA - Former Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan joked that the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) series felt unique.

He made the joke while exercising his right to vote at Polling Station (TPS) 29 located in the yard of the Babul Khoirot Mosque, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta.

"Congratulations on voting, did you all vote? But what's unique about this election, did all the participants vote in Jakarta?" joked Anies, Wednesday, November 27.

"Oh, that's right, those who participated and those who supported them voted in Jakarta," he continued.

It is suspected that the joke was a sarcastic statement aimed at the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair. This is because they are known to be participants in the Jakarta Pilkada contest but have the right to vote in the West Java region.

"Is that right? What if you don't vote in Jakarta, then what? That's it," said Anies.

Anies Baswedan is known to support the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno pair in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. The reason is that the pair with number three sides with the weak and small communities.
