Menpan RB Appreciates Bureaucratic Reform At BRIN

JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Rini Widyantini appreciated the implementation of bureaucratic reform at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) which continues to increase.

However, his party continues to encourage BRIN to be able to increase its commitment to making continuous improvements in the implementation of the Government Agencies Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) and bureaucratic reform (RB) to encourage its impact on the community and stakeholders.

"Earlier we got the view that there are several transformations that have been carried out by BRIN, of course, this will also affect the value of bureaucratic reform that is being carried out by the Ministry of PANRB," said Rini quoting Antara.

To note, the BRIN RB index has continued to increase since its formation and evaluation of its RB in 2022, until it reaches the 'A' predicate in 2023.

"In general, BRIN'S SICK value has continued to increase in the last two years, with the final title 'BB'," he explained.

He also fully supports the strengthening of institutions, governance and human resources of the apparatus within the BRIN. So far, BRIN has been supporting units for Ministries and Institutions in building policies through their research in each ministry/institution.

"And of course I am happy with the transformation that has been carried out and hope that there are several examples that we may use to be able to input as a policy in the transformation of our bureaucracy," explained Rini.

Meanwhile, the Head of BRIN, Laksana Tri Handoko, expressed his appreciation to Minister Rini.

He hopes that the institutional arrangements and human resources of the apparatus within the BRIN that is being carried out can be felt by the impact of the wider community.

"So we discussed a lot with the Minister of PANRB, who has actually supported us so far, since before BRIN even carried out various transformations and more specifically, we received directions that BRIN should be more able to assist ministries/agencies to realize more scientific-based policy recommendations for Ministries and institutions as well as local governments in various regions in Indonesia," concluded Laksana.
