Anthony Ginting Aims For The Title Of Champion At Indonesia Masters 2025

JAKARTA The men's singles badminton player, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, is aiming for the title when he appears at the Indonesia Masters early next year.

The Super 500 BWF level tournament is scheduled to take place from January 21, 2025 to January 26, 2025 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

Ginting hopes he can repeat his sweet memory of winning this tournament as on the previous two occasions in 2018 and 2020.

"We'll see what I can achieve in January 2025," Ginting said at a press conference at the Indonesia Masters 2025 at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at noon.

The Indonesia Masters is one of three major tournaments that will likely be faced by the bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics during January 2025.

Before appearing at Istora, Ginting first faced the Super 1000 BWF Malaysia Open and the Super 750 BWF India Open 2025. The three events took place in three consecutive weeks.

Ginting said that the series of solid agendas would not be easy for players because there was a possibility of performance going up and down.

"I try to maintain conditions. In the third tournament, usually from the condition everything decreases, but it is possible that they can perform well," said Ginting.

Ginting's best journey after winning the Indonesia Masters title was twice as a semifinalist. The two opportunities occurred in the 2024 and 2022 editions, respectively.

The editions of 2021 and 2023 respectively stopped in the first and second half. Last year Ginting's failure was then successfully treated by Jonatan Christie who won.
