Sarinah Aims To Increase Sales By 20 Percent In 2024
JAKARTA - Sarinah's President Director, Fetty Kwartaty, said that his party is targeting an increase in sales of up to 20 percent in 2024. He said that from year to year Sarinah's sales performance had indeed grown.
"If we still check the income, in the end, yes, but last year, the increase in sales was around 20 percent throughout the year, so in 2023, compared to 2024, the increase in sales will be 20 percent," he said in Sarinah, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 26.
Fetty said that one of Sarinah's ways of boosting sales was by holding the 2024 Nusantara Work Stage (PKN) by lifting Indonesia's cultural heritage. The theme of the event was Batik first, now, and the future.
The PKN event will take place from November 26 to December 4, 2024, on the Sarinah ground floor area. The fairuhung batik collection of leading maestros and collectors, including Batik Apip, Batik Dudung, Batik Sapuan, Batik Heritage, Batik Metaflora, Hartono Sumarsono, and Zahir Widadi will be displayed at the event.
"Well, from this event, we also hope that there will be increased transactions other than education, especially since this is also towards the end of the year, this Christmas and New Year's program is an option for customers, in addition to buying goods that are usually purchased at the end of the year, they can also buy batik from maestro's works and the work of the nation's children," he said.
On the other hand, Fetty said that people's purchasing power, which had decreased, had little impact on the company. He said this was thanks to the transformation process that has been going on in recent years.
"So the decrease in purchasing power is not too much felt in Sarinah. Moreover, we have just carried out the transformation, so that the growth is felt significantly compared to previous years," he said.
Currently, continued Fetty, Sarinah is entering the phase of volume two transformation, which includes business development to various strategic locations, both domestically and abroad.
Most recently, Sarinah was present in Australia and is preparing for expansion to several countries ranging from the Netherlands, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, to other areas that have market potential for local products.
"This is one of the next milestones, so these MSMEs have a target, have the spirit to advance to class, because there is this forum that is provided for them to continue to grow," he said.
