Appreciation Of The Minister Of Religion, The KPK Will Analyze The Report On The Acceptance Of Chocolate Bags

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appreciates reports of receiving gratuities in the form of brown bags submitted by the Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar. Analysis of these items will be carried out.

"KPK appreciates the initiative to report gratification by the Minister of Religion. This is the first step to prevent a criminal act of corruption," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 26.

Tessa said the analysis of the bag that had been submitted to the Directorate of Gratification of the KPK would soon be carried out. "Is (received, red) included gratification that is prohibited and belongs to the state or is a valid gratification accepted and belongs to the recipient," he said.

In the future, the KPK hopes that more state officials will take similar actions. Tessa said reporting can be easy by accessing the Online Gratification or GOL application.

The GOL application can be accessed online by downloading it on Android and IOS-based digital distribution services, said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

"After that, users can select the 'Gratification Report' menu to continue Create a New Report accompanied by report data and supporting documents, before the report is sent," continued Tessa.

As previously reported, the Minister of Religion (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar reported receiving gratuities to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The report was submitted by his staff, Muhammad Ainul Yaqin at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, Jakarta.

"On the direction and orders of the Minister of Religion, we were asked to deliver an item given by (the party, ed) we also do not know from whom, given to the Minister of Religion last week," Ainul told reporters, Tuesday, November 26.

Ainul explained that the goods were given to the Minister of Religion on Friday last week. "The form of our goods has been handed over to us," he said.

"We have submitted it to be received directly by Mrs. Indira as the Head of the KPK Gratification Task Force. It has been received directly by the Head of the Task Force," continued the Expert Minister of Religion.

Ainul detailed that the gift from an unnamed party was in the form of a brown bag in a box. The number he didn't know for sure.

As for when reporting the gift, Ainul was asked to fill out a number of forms. Then the goods he brought were handed over to the KPK.
